I have finally subscribed to Direct TV. I did this after months of thinking about the pros and cons of having digital TV. I live alone and the idiot box serves as my main source of entertainment. I wanted a service that offers me the maximum number of channels and Directvcomes in handy in this regard.
I had basic cable before but it was a horrible experience. There were so many breakdowns and I was paying a huge amount for only four dozen channels. Most of them had poor signals and I had to constantly make calls to my operator to fix them. They were not showing any local programming of my city of San Diego. I was forced to watch NY1 News although I had nothing to do with New York City.
Direct TV in California provides many options when it comes to local programming. I can watch my favorite channels, including those in Spanish language without any difficulties. I have opted for the discount package of the company that allows me to pay significantly lower than most of my friends that are still on basic cable. Overall, it was one of my best decisions.
